# Item Rarity
Creatures throughout the world have a handful of unidentified items on them, if you are so lucky to loot one it will provide some good stats to help you throughout your journey!
Once you find a Unidentified item, you can identify it by finding a Scroll of Identification that monsters also drop, or simply visit the Eryn at the Shop in your town to purchase the scroll for 50 gold.
To identify your item use the scroll on the item and then look at the item to see what random enchants you got!
Don't like your enchantment? Want to increase the value of your enchant?
You are in luck! Every monster in the game has a chance of dropping a Crystal Fossil . In order to break this fossil open visit Eryn at the Shop in your town to purchase a crystal extractor! This costs 500 gold but allows you to bust open those Crystal Fossils and find the goodies inside, be gentle though... or you might completely destroy everything!\

Types of Crystals you can find within the fossil are as follows;
**Upgrade Crystal**
This allows you to upgrade your stats on your item, such as the attack and defense values up to a maximum of +7! Each level gets harder, if you fail you go down to your previous level.
**Enchant Crystals**
**T**his allows you to upgrade the attributes of your items to increase the value of your enchant
